Privacy Policy — Roleplay Central Network (RCN)

This policy explains what information Roleplay Central Network ("RCN", "we", "us") collects when you interact with our Discord servers and verification systems, how we use it, who we share it with, and what control you have over it.

By joining any RCN-affiliated Discord server, using the verification bot, or otherwise participating in the network, you agree to the terms below.

1. Who we are

Roleplay Central Network is a community of Roblox roleplay Discord servers operating under a shared moderation and verification system. The network is operated by community staff and is not affiliated with Roblox Corporation or Discord, Inc.

If you have questions about this policy, open a /ticket in any RCN server or contact server ownership directly.

2. Information we collect

When you join an RCN server or use the verification system, we collect and store the following:

From Discord (automatic):

Your Discord user ID and username
Your role memberships in RCN-affiliated guilds
Messages you send in channels where staff message-quota tracking is enabled (for staff only, counts only, not content)
Moderation actions taken against your account (warnings, timeouts, kicks, bans, infraction notes)

From Roblox (only after you authorize):

Your Roblox user ID
Your Roblox username and display name
Whether your Roblox account is already linked to another Discord account on the network (used for alt-account detection)

We do not collect:

Your Discord account email or phone number
Your Roblox account email or password
Direct messages outside of bot-issued DMs
Message content from non-staff users
Payment information

3. How we use this information

We use the information we collect to:

Verify your identity. Link your Discord and Roblox accounts so staff know who you are across the network.
Detect alt accounts. When the same Roblox account is linked to multiple Discord IDs, additional Discord accounts are flagged as alts and may receive restricted access.
Enforce moderation. Apply bans, blacklists, and other actions consistently across every RCN-affiliated server. A network ban issued in one server applies in all.
Maintain staff accountability. Track moderator actions and weekly message-activity quotas.
Operate the sessions system. Bridge announcements from sub-servers to the main network channel.
Provide support. When you open a ticket, staff can see your verification status and moderation history.

4. Storage and security

Your data is stored in a private Supabase (PostgreSQL) database accessible only to RCN's verification bot and authorized senior staff. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or commercial third parties.

Our verification flow uses Roblox's official OAuth 2.0 endpoints. We receive only the public information you authorize when you sign in. Your Roblox password is never visible to us.

5. Third-party services

To provide the network we rely on the following third parties:

Discord hosts the servers themselves. Their privacy policy is at discord.com/privacy.
Roblox handles the OAuth authorization step. Their privacy policy is at en.help.roblox.com/hc/articles/115004630823.
Supabase hosts our database and the verification callback endpoint. Their privacy policy is at supabase.com/privacy.

Data may transit through these providers as a necessary part of operating the network. We do not control their independent policies.

6. Data retention

Verification records are retained indefinitely. They allow us to recognize you across the network and prevent ban evasion. They are deleted only when an RCN staff member runs /verify reset on your account at your request, and only when there is a legitimate reason (for example, you have lost access to your original Roblox account).
Moderation records (warnings, timeouts, kicks, bans, infraction notes) are retained indefinitely so staff can make informed decisions about future actions.
Verification challenges (pending OAuth state tokens) expire and are deleted automatically after 15 minutes.
Audit logs are retained for accountability purposes.

7. Your rights

You may request:

A copy of the data we hold about you
Correction of information you believe is inaccurate (for example, you re-verified under a new Roblox account legitimately)
Deletion of your verification record (/verify reset)
An appeal of any moderation action

To exercise any of these rights, open a /ticket in any RCN server. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Note: deletion of moderation records is at staff discretion. We will not delete records that are still relevant to the safety of the community.

8. Children's privacy

Discord's Terms of Service require users to be at least 13 years old. Roblox requires the same. RCN does not knowingly serve users under 13. If we become aware that a user under 13 has joined the network, we will remove them and delete any data we have collected about them.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the main RCN server. Continued use of the network after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
